It is well known within golf circles that golf is promoted by psychiatrists so they lots of customers to ply their trade upon. Another golf tip is that insiders considers the addiction to the game similar to that of crack cocaine. That being said once you are hooked you need to find ways to best enjoy your addiction.

Let us provide you with some beginner's golf tips to set you on a course of mastering the game of golf. golf is a complex game and probably really not a sport at all. In order to get a good foundation for the game you should learn everything you can about the games rules, history and methods. Probably the most important golf tip is to have a good attitude. Without a positive attitude you are guaranteed to fail. The second most important golf tip is that you cannot learn to play golf well without good golf instruction.

A large amount of golf instruction is focused on learning a good golf swing. Obviously that's how a golfer drives the ball to the intended target. The second most focused part of instruction is the mental focus; visualizing what you are trying to accomplish prior to even addressing the ball, This is very important especially when you are a beginner. You need to train you mind to automatically process this mental image prior to each shot. Your teaching pro can explain how this works and he will give you the tips he has learned that allow he or she to accomplish the process of metal focus and execution.

Locating a teaching golf pro that you can work with is very important. The more comfortable you are with the pros teaching style the more likely you will apply the lessons and techniques properly. Your pro will analyze your faults and weaknesses and begin to make corrections. You will start learning beginner golf tips that will immediately help you. Most people are very pleasantly surprised by their initial progress. It is very important that you apply the learned beginners golf tips and techniques repeatedly through practice until they become second nature. Even when you are not actively practicing, you must practice in your mind by visualizing the process over and over again. Basically you are practicing within your minds eye.

In addition to learning the beginner's golf tips on the driving range or putting green, you need to become proficient in the rules of golf. pick up a rulebook at the local pro shop and start reading the basics. If you have questions just ask your teaching pro and he will know the answers. Taking the time to learn the rules of the game will help you in your mental game and reduce your stress when you begin to play with other golfers. This also a good time to pickup the local course handbook. Study it carefully, especially if this is the course that you will be learning the game on. Again this will help you visualize your game and your practice.

Golf may not be a true sport but it is a great game and worth the effort to learn to play well. Applying good beginners golf tips will help you learn the game. Remember to have fun as you learn to become an accomplished golfer. That is the idea of playing in the first place.

Why Does Cold Air Fall and Warm Air Rise?

cold air falls and warm air rises. Why? Discuss!

Many of us experience the effects of falling cold air and rising warm air on a regular basis. It is happening all the time in the air above and around us and is one of the components in our weather systems. You may notice that when there is no heating or air conditioning operating in your house, the rooms upstairs are slightly warmer than those downstairs. Another example is the hot air balloon that works precisely to this principle. By heating the air inside the balloon, the craft will be lighter than the surrounding air and will rise. This is actually the result of cold air gushing downwards around the balloon at the same time as it is rising.

So why does cold air fall? That is simple: it is heavier than warm air. And why is it heavier? That is slightly less simple, but only slightly. As with any gas, the air (a generic term for the mixture of the gasses in our atmosphere), contains molecules that move (or agitate). This movement (or agitation) is greater as the temperature rises. The molecules move in ever greater orbits, taking up more space. This causes the mass of the air to expand. Although the total mass of a lump of air has not changed, the mass is more spread out and so any given cubic area of it will be lighter. An analogy is found with popcorn. A half pound of popcorn before being popped may fit into a cup. After popping, the same corn would fill a large saucepan. Its total weight will be more or less the same half pound that it always was, but if you filled up the original cup with the popped corn, it would weigh less than the unpopped corn as the rest of it would no longer fit into the cup. Expanding hot air is similar. A cup of cold air would weigh more than a cup of hot air.

As we are playing the why game, let's continue. Why do the molecules move about more when it is warmer? They absorb energy through electro-magnetic waves that smash into the molecules. In short, this is energy transfer by radiation. So we have a collection (several trillion, lets say) of molecules that are very agitated and another collection which are far less agitated. The agitated collection is spread out and thus light. The collection that are less agitated is heavier. The heavier stuff falls downwards, while the light stuff rises.

As well as being the main process behind hot air balloons, the movement of air according to its temperature is a critical factor with the weather. Forecasters must ensure that these movements are factored into their modelling systems in order to produce a decent weather forecast. Air conditioning designers and must also take these factors into account as must architects. In order to preserve valuable heat, warm air must be prevented from escaping through the top of a building. As well as conserving heat, the movement of colder air downwards must also be considered when designing refrigerators and refrigeration systems.

If you have a few minutes, try this experiment. Firstly make sure nothing has been put into your refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Then, leave a thermometer inside the refrigerator, making sure it is placed at the bottom and then close the door. After 10 minutes, open the door and straight away and note the reading on the thermometer. Then place the thermometer on the top shelf and close the door. After 10 minutes, take the reading as soon as you open the door. You will notice a difference - perhaps as much as 1 to 2 degrees. This may not be such a big issue for us at home most of the time. For commercial kitchens, however, this difference maybe critical when ensuring food is kept at an optimum temperature. Commercial fridges are often fitted with a fan that evens out the colder and warmer air, thus negating the tendency for cold air to fall and warmer air to rise.

If you take large freezer stores - the ones that hold thousands of boxes of stock - the movement of air around the facility is an extremely important factor. The fans that blow frozen air into the store are always situated near to the ceiling, allowing it to diffuse downwards. Eventually, of course, the goods in the freezer store will need to be taken out and moved to another location, typically loaded onto a truck. If frozen goods are loaded onto a frozen truck this is no problem. Occasionally though, only a small quantity of frozen goods may be needed and the use of a large truck whose temperature is set at a frozen temperature would be wasteful if only a few boxes were being despatched. This is where insulated pallet shrouds or roll cage covers come into play. These enclose the pallet or roll cage, protecting frozen goods for up to 8 hours within an ambient environment (they also protect ambient goods such bakery products and bananas in a chilled or frozen environment). When a roll cage is used, the insulated roll cage cover works at its best when the cage is full of products. When it is half full then - you guessed it - the cold air falls to the bottom. This is fine at first (assuming the goods are in the bottom half), but after a while the warmer air that has risen to the top will start to affect the top layer of goods. This is where a temperature insulated divider must be used to make a seal and protect the goods in the half full roll cage.

So now you know the whys and hows of cold and warm air and now you also know why your feet get cold in winter!

Xbox Games on Your 360 Console

One of the most basic problems with the ongoing improvements in gaming console technology is the issue of backwards compatibility. In the past, games from its predecessor would not be compatible with the latest version of the game console. Xbox360 games have this feature. There are ways so that you can play your Xbox games using the 360 console.

One way of allowing you to play both versions of the said games is via updating your game console through the Live system. However, it is required in this method that a broadband internet connection is present. The simple process of connecting your game unit to an available broadband connection will allow you to update your system. After connecting, all that you really have to do is to wait for the process to finish. Afterwards, you can start playing your original Xbox360 games! By doing this, you remain updated about the latest addition to the games that are being supported by the system. Of course you would be needing a Live account, which could either be a silver or the gold membership package.

Another method that would to allow you to play Xbox games on your 360 console is by CD or dvd burning. This is for those who do not have a broadband internet connection. A simple dial-up connection would be sufficient for the download to complete. Using this method, one could simply go to Xbox.com and download a copy of the game and simply burn it on a disc. This is especially useful for people whose consoles are not connected to a broadband internet connection. It also adds that you could get a supported copy of the game some place else, where an internet connection and a CD or dvd burner is present. This saves you from the task of having to bring the whole game console just to get the supported games. The process is just as simple as creating an audio cd. This should not prove to be that difficult even for beginners.

The last of the methods which would allow gamers to play Xbox360 games in a 360 console would be to order it directly from Xbox.com. However, this method would only be available by Early December to some people. But then again, it may seem as the most viable option. The disc includes all the necessary updates needed by the system to enable it to have backwards compatibility. It will be updating the program for the backwards compatibility, which would of course also update the operating system for your game console.

I should say that this backwards compatibility feature is really ingenious. First of all, it saves gamers all that money that would either go to waste. Waste of money happens because they cannot use their old games or they purchase new games. Although this feature only allows your Xbox360 and Xbox games to be played on the 360 console, it will definitely be a feature that would dictate future technological developments in the gaming industry.

Birds - How To Tell If Yours Is Sick

In this article we're going to discuss how to tell if you've got a sick bird on your hands.

Unlike people, birds can't tell you when something hurts or they just feel like garbage. So how do you tell when your bird is under the weather?

Most sick birds get that way because of poor nutrition and stress. Poor nutrition is more from what a bird eats than from how much, as birds don't need a lot of food. Stress can come from a number of things such as poor environment and rapid changes in temperature. A happy bird is usually a healthy bird.

A problem with identifying if your bird is sick is that birds tend to hide their health from you. This is a built in ability that birds use to keep other animals from attacking them. It is part of their survival instinct. Because of this ability it may be a couple of weeks before a bird owner even knows that his bird is sick. Therefore, in order to determine that there is a problem with your bird you have to be observant at all times. There are signs to look out for. These include discharge from the eyes, change in eye color, closing of the eyes, swelling around the eyes, discharge from the nose, soiling of the feathers, sneezing, trouble eating, reduced appetite, fluffed up feathers, inactivity, droopy wings, change in routine, change in vocal habits, weight loss, problems with equilibrium, inability to perch, limping, swollen feet or joints, change in droppings, open mouthed breathing when at rest, lumps on the body, and any sign of bleeding. Some of these symptoms are very serious.

If you notice any of the above and suspect your bird is sick, immediately make an appointment with a vet. Take him there in his cage or some suitable container. Don't ever take your bird to the vet with him perched on your shoulder. Your pet will not be protected. Whatever container you use make sure it is covered. If you take it in its cage don't clean the cage. This can present evidence to the vet that can help diagnose the bird's problem.

After taking the bird to the vet and a diagnosis is made, take the bird home immediately. Home care at this stage is very important. Keep your bird warm and try to encourage it to eat. Sick birds have usually stopped eating so it is important for them to eat well to get their strength back. If they are unable to eat then they may need to be hospitalized.

Unfortunately, by the time an owner realizes his bird is sick, the bird is more than likely seriously ill. Therefore it becomes even more critical to give your bird the best care possible. Most owners go to pet stores first to try to treat the bird instead of going straight to the vet. This only makes the problem worse. However, if you catch the bird's illness quickly enough you'll have a very good chance of getting him back on his feet.

Golf Putting Tips - 4 Tips for Mastering the Long Putt

Even if you've only been around golf for a short period of time, I'm sure you've heard the phrase "drive for show and putt for dough." It's become a golf cliche because of its inherent truth. people love watching and hitting a long drive but it's masterful putting that keeps your score low and helps pro players win golf tournaments. So how do you improve your putting and take strokes off your game?

Sure, it's fun to watch tiger hit long bombs off the tee, but it's Tiger's short game and putting prowess that keeps him head and shoulders above the rest of the players on the PGA Tour. If you've watched tiger play awhile, you may have noticed that he's not the most accurate driver off the tee. But his putting more than makes up for it.

A lot of courses today don't make it too difficult to get on the green in regulation. But if you do, you'll most likely be facing quite a long putt, making it a challenge to two putt many holes. And if you consistently three putt, you can forget about ever posting a low score on the golf course.

So what golf putting tips can you use to leave that long putt close enough to the hole to give you a good chance of two putting?

1) You'll need a longer putting stroke from 40 feet away compared to a 5 or even 10 foot putt. In order to make this more natural, take a wider stance when you address the ball.

2) Visualize the putt. See if you can estimate the actual time the putt will take to reach the hole. Don't forget to visualize the speed and putt line of the ball as well.

3) Take this visualization and translate it into your putt stroke. Figure out how long a stroke you'll need to give the ball enough speed to reach the hole.

4) While putts inside 10 feet are crucial to your golf game, make sure to practice longer putts of 30 and 40 feet as well, every time you practice putting.

Use these golf putting tips for long putts to help you put your long putts closer to the hole on a more consistent basis. If you can do this, you'll cut down on your three puts and shave strokes off of your game. And you'll do it without improving any other aspect of your golf game.

What Are the 39 Types of Sharks Known to Harm Humans?

What are the 39 types of sharks known to harm humans? Well, as soon as you read this question, your mind probably started racing, your heartbeat became more rapid and your throat dried out. The question that probably consumes your thoughts right now is: Are there that many dangerous species of sharks out there?

Well, calm down. Yes there are 39 types of sharks known to have harmed humans but only three species were actually involved in unprovoked shark attacks. No, Jaws itself, better known as a Great White shark was not one of these species. Surprised? In fact, out of 1190 shark attacks between 1580 and 2005, there were only 3 provoked shark attacks, one being fatal. Each of the following species was involved in one shark attack: the Hammerhead shark, the Blue shark and the Shortfin Mako shark. The fatal attack was done by the Hammerhead shark.

So according to the ISAF (International shark Attack File) between 1580 and 2005, there were 1187 unprovoked shark attacks done by 36 types of sharks. In fact, 17 of the 36 species involved in unprovoked shark attacks were responsible for 5 shark attacks or less. These types of sharks are: the Galapagos shark, the Tope shark, the Silvertip shark, the Spiny Dogfish shark, the Tresher shark, The Bignose shark, the Smooth Dogfish shark, the Basking shark, the Horn shark, the Sixgill shark, the Whale shark, the Greenland shark, the Whitetip Reef shark, the Porbeagle shark, the Leopard shark, the Mako shark and the Great Hammerhead shark.

Of the remaining 19 types of sharks known to harm humans, 6 types of sharks are responsible for 6 to 9 unprovoked shark attacks. These are the following species: the Grey Reef shark, the Oceanic Whitetip shark, the Sandbar shark, the Sevengill shark, the Dusky shark and the Silky shark.

Of the 13 types of sharks that are left, 3 species are responsible for 14 to 19 unprovoked shark attacks. These are the following types of sharks: the Spinner shark, the Blacktip Reef shark and the Bronze Whaler shark.

Of the 10 types of sharks that have been involved in 23 to 27 unprovoked shark attacks on humans, you have the 3 following shark species: the Lemon shark, the Caribbean Reef shark and the Wobbegong shark.

Now you have the top ten sharks that have been known to attack humans, 7 species are responsible for unprovoked shark attacks while 3 species that were mentioned earlier on this page have been involved in provoked shark attacks. The 7 species are: the Great White shark, the Tiger shark, the Bull shark, the Sand Tiger shark, the Requiem shark, the Nurse shark and the Blacktip shark.

The top 10 species are: the Great White shark (#1), the Tiger shark (#2), the Bull shark (#3), the Sand Tiger shark (#4), the Requiem shark (#5), the Nurse shark (#6), the Shortfin Mako (#7), the Blacktip shark (#8), the Hammerhead shark (#9) and the Blue shark (#10). The numbers of shark attacks done by these species vary between 36 and 410.

As you can see, the 20% types of sharks involved in shark attacks may seem impressive but not as alarming as you may have thought at first.
